[the comm actually clicks on and off a few times because some one is tapping the 'record' button repeatedly. It does stop long enough to catch a conversation, though.]

Soooooo... booooooored...

... maybe we should find something to do, Kentarou?

Like what? There's nothing to do! I can't cook for Takeshi-kun, he's not here! I don't have any money, I don't even have a job! At least if I was at school I'd have something to do! I'm SO BORED!

But you're a super hero! You should be out... hero-ing!

Unless there's some one doing bad evil things, Girupi, I really don't think there's anything for me to hero, either...

Mou... Kentarou... --HEY there's a butterfly on the porch!

[Girupi goes running off, and Kentarou goes back to tapping his finger boredly on the desk]

Sweet! I'm up in [insert random apartment number here]. Door's open if you just wanna come in!

[A little while later Apollo will wander in. He chewing something and holding what looks like the bottom third of a pigeon in his hand.]

[Kentarou is definitely in better spirits. He's already in the kitchen, handkerchief tied around his head and in an apron, setting stuff out on the counter.]

Hey!

[Apollo's in a green T-shirt tucked into brown cargo pants with the feathers on his armband poking out from under the sleeve, steel-toed boots, red wrist wraps, and his necklace. He heads into the kitchen, sniffing the air to see what exactly Kentarou's making.]

Hey.

[he's already working on some peppered beef and broccoli as well as some yakisoba noodles.]

What's that? [motioning with a spoon to the dead bird]

This? [He holds up the bird] There's a tree in the park that grows 'em. It's finally starting to grow 'em again now that Spring's here.

[He takes a bite of it, bones, feathers, and all. Fortunately for the floor, all the blood drained out on the way there. He continues with his mouth full.]

Ain't as good as a live one, but it's the freshest meat around.

... oh.

Well... uh, I hope you like this then...

[weird...]

[He swallows and stuffs the last bit in his mouth. Crunchy bones are crunchy.]

Smells good so far.

Heh. Thanks...

[goes back to working on cooking now. He'd probably be a lot more freaked if he wasn't still adjusting to everything and the fact that, well, everything is pretty weird there.]

You know, if you brought me one of those I could cook it, too.

[He puts his hands in his pockets and leans against the door frame.]

Meat's better raw though.

Aha, but you've never had what I can make!

[tosses what's in the skillet, shaking it a little]

Come on, give this a try and tell me you wouldn't like to try more of it.

[He shrugs and waits for the food to be ready.]

[finishes it up and puts it on to two plates, handing one to Apollo]

Here, give that a go.

[He takes the plate and sniffs it before starting to shovel it in.]

[waits a little before asking]

Well?

[He pauses in his shoveling to swallow enough to talk.]

It's good.

[He resumes shoveling. Granted, the food would have to be pretty bad for him to not eat it, but he doesn't lie about whether or not he likes something.]

Told you! [gives a dorky thumbs up] Only the best from Higashikunimaru Kentarou!

[He shrugs and starts to go back to eating, then stops, looking confused.]

Higash-kun what?

That's me! ... oh, maybe you know Western order... uhm... Kentarou Higashikunimaru!

[He can probably pronounce it after hearing it a second time, but he won't try.]

I'm Apollo.

[Don't worry, there are probably people in Japan who don't even bother pronouncing it.]

Nice to meet you, Apollo! If you ever want more food, you can totally come bug me for it!

[...Kentarou, you have no idea what you've just said. ^^;]

[He goes back to work on the food.]

[Hey, if he can't cook for Takeshi, he might as well cook for some one. And Apollo actually eats his food instead of throwing a fit over it!

He's just going to clean up now, humming all happy-like to himself. This place may be weird, but hey, he made a friend.]

[ a) Apollo will eat anything. Up to and including live frogs and rats.
b) Apollo doesn't think of people as friends that quickly. Sorry Kentarou.

Apollo finishes the food and licks the last bits off of the plate before putting it with the other things that Kentarou's cleaning, having finally learned from Baron that he isn't supposed to leave dishes in random locations.]
