Oh, uh... tou-san is... well, otou-san means "father", so 'tou-san' is probably equivalent to calling your father "dad"...

My family owns a really important company in Japan, so... I'm used to getting help from my dad.

Yeah, pretty much. I lived at school, so I didn't have to worry about paying rent or anything like that.

Not normally, no. Usually you have to go to a special school like the one I went to in order to live away from home before university.

Guess DEAVA wouldn't be a normal place. Ain't like any of us were there to do anything just anyone could do.

CLAMP School wasn't either. You had to really excel at something or else you didn't get in.

Me, I'm good at track and field. And Takepo-- ... Takeshi-kun was really good at kendo.

Yeah, Elements. People with special powers. We're the only ones who can pilot Aquarion and fight the Shadow Angels. We all stayed at DEAVA and flew out whenever they started attacking a city.

That sounds kinda cool! Like something out of a manga!

It wasn't cool. They'd show up in a city and take everyone. Baron... the kids... Most of the time we couldn't stop them from taking people back to Atlantia. All we could do was fight whatever they sent so they couldn't just go on to the next city right away.
